The Rosary
The Rosary is a pattern of prayer popular among Catholics.
Each decade is composed of an Our Father, ten Hail Marys and a Glory Be.
Each decade is devoted to a mystery regarding the life of Jesus or his mother.
This makes it a profoundly scriptural prayer and therefore very appropriate during the Year of the Word.
The fifteen mysteries are divided into three groups of five:
The Joyful
The Sorrowful
The Glorious
The Luminous

Our Father, who are in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be dome on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen
