A very big THANK YOU to Consett Fire Service (White Watch), who kindly took a break from their very busy schedule to come into school this afternoon to deliver a safety talk to the children of Class 3.
The children learnt that they need to stay a minimum of 9ft away from a bonfire, to always have a hose available, how quickly a fire can spread and the importance of smoke alarms.
The children were lucky enough to have the opportunity to explore the inside of the fire engine🚒, including
a range of different tools and to use the hose! which was great fun 😁😁
Apologies if they have came home slightly wet, but they will tell you it was worth it!
Thank you once again to the Fire Service 👩🚒 for an enjoyable afternoon.
